Chana Dal

Ingredients
Chana dal – 250 grams
Chopped onion – 1 cup
Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Whole cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Dry chilies – 4 pieces
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tbsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
Green chili – 4 pieces
Cardamom – 2 pieces
Cinnamon – 2 pieces
Cloves – 2 pieces
Bay leaves – 2 pieces
Salt – As per taste
Coriander leaves – As required
AJI-NO-MOTO® – 1/2 tsp

Cooking Procedure

1. First, wash the dal and soak it in water for 30 minutes. Boil the soaked dal in clean water and drain the water. Now add oil to a pan. When the oil is hot, lightly fry dry chilies, whole cumin seeds, and chopped onions.

2. When the onions are cooked, add all the remaining ingredients except “AJI-NO-MOTO®” and coriander leaves and mix them well. After cooking the spices, add boiled Chana dal and cook with enough water.

3. When the gravy thickens, add green chilies, coriander leaves, and “AJI-NO-MOTO®” and you’ve got delicious-tasting Chana dal!
